Mr. Moustache Baby Mobile

German product designers Sina Gwosdzik & Jakob Dannenfeldt throw a whimsical spin on kids furniture and products with their brand jäll & tofta little people. Aside from the quirky cribs and adorable posters, we just can't get enough of the Mr. Moustache Baby Mobiles Gold Edition, decked with a bowler hat and various types of whiskers. Lucky for us, jäll & tofta ships to the US!

Lisa Jarvis Bagua Table

As part of her Plata Collection, interior designer Lisa Jarvis has created the Bagua Table, inspired by the sun glinting off the setting of her diamond ring and ancient Feng Shui rules. Octagonal in shape, the Bagua is a simple yet refreshing take on the side table, available in antique gold or antique silver.

Product and interior designer Nika Zupanc's darling Black Cherry light fixture from the Gold Edition, 2013 brings feminine sophistication with a touch a quirkiness to any home. Made from hand blown glass and framed with brass, the pair of dangling cherries also come in black, red, and white.

Pelle Dorit Candle Holders

Beautifully blending raw material with decadent design, Pelle's Dorit Candle Holders juxtapose construction or paint grade lumber with your choice of 24K Gold, 12K White Gold, Gray, or Mustard finishes to create a geometric patchwork design. Our favorites are the gold and white gold gilded holders as they offer a perfect balance between simplicity and luxury.

Traccia table

From Meret Openheim this quirky bird leg table is in silver or bronze. The gold leafed or silver top and has small bird foot imprints making this truly an art piece. One can find it for about $3,000 with a designer at DDC.

Bentley rounds

From Niedermaier, the Bentley Round tables come in 15, 23 and 34.5" diameter. The three finishes offered are brushed stainless, polished stainless and brushed bronze. They are a pretty penny, but they look great in clusters and are available in custom sizes.

Pot of Gold

The Conran's pot of gold has no rainbow or small Irish men, but it's a beauty. The frame base turns this bowl from a functional piece to a sculpture. Only $135 from conran, it's a stand alone accessory. This would be great on a front entry table as a fancy key drop or just to add to a vignette.

Knock, knock, knock on my door with this Desu design Pendulum Door Knocker. The Brooklyn design firm clearly designed this for the modernists dream townhouse. It's about $275 but feels like a custom piece on the level on Nanz.

Turkish fortune

Michele Varian carries this gold fortune telling (or told) cup and saucer. Chai, the famous Turkish coffee is served in small espresso size cups, but I like that the 22 karat gold cup can hold my Twinings earl grey tea instead. $140 for one cup and one saucer.

gold tooth

For about the same price as a gold filling (I am assuming here) you can get a whole gold tooth to sit on from the famous Mr. Starck. The Tooth Stool from XO comes in three different metallic finishes, but I prefer the gold as it feels more tongue and cheek. If I'm going to feel edgy this is certainly the only gold tooth I will invest in. It is posted on Unicahome's website for around $250.

Jamie's the best

My favorite Spanish designer now has cool vases with a grid top and metal base. Jamie Hayon is wildly imaginative and reaches across many fields of design. The Turkish connection is throughly modern but not too apparent. Although I have no idea how much this grid series is or how to get it, I want it. It does say Gaia and Gino on the Hayon Studio website, but I haven't seen them sold in the States.

gold boxes

Although you will need to be very organized to even keep anything in these boxes, they are beautifully laser cut with a crafted feel. The finish exudes luxury far beyond its $395 ticket. And if you don't want to fork out for the the set of 3 boxes, The Conran Shop carries a tea candle holder for only $39.
